In 2011 I went in to hospital for long-awaited open-heart surgery that was intended to give me a whole new lease of life at 62. When they opened me up they found absolutely nothing wrong with my heart (after three years of treating it with drugs). The new diagnosis is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease caused by radiation treatment from when I had cancer.
There is no cure but life is possible, with care, as a disabled person.
I think I’ve learned quite a lot from this cluster of experiences and have therefore restarted my “blog” to capture some of it.
